ELIGIBILITY
To apply for the A Sisters Hand NHSC, you must:

Be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.

Be an accepted or enrolled student in a nursing degree program at a U.S. accredited school of nursing.

Start classes by September 30.
-
Have no federal judgment liens.
-
Have no existing service commitment.
-
Not be overdue on any federal debt.
Note: Funding preference is given to those with the greatest financial need.

If you receive an award, you’ll get a monthly stipend and we’ll pay your:
• Tuition
• Eligible fees
• Reasonable costs (including books, clinical supplies/instruments, and uniforms).
BENEFITS

Your entire scholarship award is taxable.

We report all the funds awarded to the IRS. We don’t withhold state and local taxes from any of the scholarship payments.

Nurse Corps cannot provide tax advice. We recommend you consult a tax professional if you need assistance or have tax-related questions.
